Litigation Support Manager oversees the team that uses technology to support an organization's litigation efforts. Provides training to the end users on database use and document management. Additionally, Litigation Support Manager confirms the accuracy of the documents and exhibits for trial. We are currently seeking a professional litigation paralegal to join our team. Our firm handles various practice areas including medical malpractice, general liability and civil litigation.

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of the litigation process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field.

    Duties of the litigation Paralegal would include:

    • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception to trial preparation including, but not limited to, draft pleadings, bills of particulars, assist in preparation of summary judgement motions, discovery demands/responses and motions
    • File review and document inventory
    • Medical record review
    • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information
    • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
    • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Maintain confidentiality of client information
    • Utilize document management systems to organize and store case files
    • E-filing
    • Deposition digesting
    • Track pleadings
    • Assist with Trial preparation

    Requirements of ideal litigation Paralegal candidate:

    • Paralegal Certificate is preferred
    • Proven experience working as a Paralegal in a litigation setting, strong familiarity with litigation experience
    • Familiarity with medical malpractice and/or personal injury
    • Proficient in using document management systems and legal software with knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent proofreading and editing abilities
    • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures
    • Excellent typing skills with attention to detail
    • Schedule and manage depositions, hearings, and court appearances
    • Friendly and outgoing
    • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new tasks

    Note: A paralegal certificate or degree is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience will also be considered.

    Salary: From $50,000.00 per year
