Litigation Manager provides guidance and advice to a staff of paralegals or legal assistants involved in prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Monitors timelines and work progress to ensure work is completed on time. Being a Litigation Manager conducts new hire and ongoing training sessions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the organization's products/services. Additionally, Litigation Manager requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. The Litigation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
