Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented experienced Associate Attorney to join our legal team. We are the leading criminal defense litigation firm in West Central WI. This Associate Attorney will be expected to be able to immediately handle high level cases. You will be taking over the case load for an experienced attorney that is moving out of the State. My firm only handles criminal defense matters through trial. We are trial lawyers. We do not handle post-conviction issues. You will quickly build your own case load as we are the busiest law firm in the area.
Responsibilities:
- work independently as needed to address a significant caseload of high level cases
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents
- Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions
- Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations
Skills:
- significant courtroom and trial experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in conducting legal research
- Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for clients' interests

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Wisconsin.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an attorney handling criminal cases.
- Strong academic record with a focus on relevant coursework
