Litigation Manager provides guidance and advice to a staff of paralegals or legal assistants involved in prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Monitors timelines and work progress to ensure work is completed on time. Being a Litigation Manager conducts new hire and ongoing training sessions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the organization's products/services. Additionally, Litigation Manager requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. The Litigation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     As a Litigation Case Manager for The Jeffcoat Firm, you’ll be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, drafting various documents, and completing other ad-hoc requests. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, a positive, uplifting attitude, and reliable transportation. 


    What you'll be doing: 

    • Prepare, review, and edit a variety of documents - including but not limited to discovery, demand letters, correspondence, and pleadings. 
    • Coordinating with clients, medical providers, and expert witnesses  
    • Handle case set up and filing, organization of documents, and collection of relevant records. 
    • Organize and maintain case files, attorney notebooks, databases, spreadsheets, and other material. 
    • Maintaining case files and updating case management software  
    • Drafting correspondence, legal documents, and settlement demands  
    • Coordinates process service and resolves service issues 
    • Responsible for processing of 3rd party invoices 
    • Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery requests  
    • Assist Attorney’s with preparation of clients and witnesses for deposition and trial.  
    • Conducting legal research and analyzing case law  
    • Assisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness preparation 
    • Attends required morning and monthly meetings.? 

    Who you are:  

    • 2 years litigation experience with auto accidents, injury claims and required. 
    • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. 
    • Litify experience preferred.   
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.  
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. 
    • Ability to multi-task, and work both within a team and independently.
