Candidate should have 3 to 5 years' litigation experience. Candidate must be dependable, detail oriented, and results-driven. Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills required in deadline drive environment. Must be a team player, show initiative, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interact professionally with all levels of the Firm and outside clients.
Candidate will assist attorney(s) and paralegal(s) in the performance of complex secretarial and clerical duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. Candidate is required to handle confidential client and Firm data in an ethical manner.
Duties include preparing legal documents and correspondence, service and filing of pleadings and testimony with courts and administrative agencies (e-filing), maintaining client files and litigation calendars, coordinating client meetings, and other similar legal and litigation support functions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with iManage / Interwoven, time entry and e-filing is a plus. Prefer legal secretary degree or certification; undergraduate degree helpful. Prior law firm experience is required.
