Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. The Litigation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     - Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw

    - Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues

    - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients' interests

    - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

    Preferred Skills:

    - Experience in drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, or motions

    - Familiarity with legal administrative tasks such as managing case files and deadlines

    - Ability to litigate cases effectively in both state and federal courts

    - Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources
