Job Description

The Digital Line Producer will be responsible for Noticias Telemundo Ahora streaming in

a control room/Tricaster environment. Producer needs to be able to identify newsworthy

stories, conceptualize and produce rundowns, and actively participate in editorial

planning. Candidate must have a strong editorial background and the ability to lead a

team. Candidate would need to multitask and work in a fast paced, deadline driven

environment with the willingness to work early morning shift, nights, weekends and

have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes.

Job Duties:

• Oversee and manage content for Noticias Telemundo Ahora streaming channel.
• Responsible for selecting, assigning, writing, and organizing news stories in
• rundown.
• Line produce live shows for streaming in a control room or Tricaster settings.
• Anticipating the needs of news coverage and help coordinate video, graphics,
• scripts and other elements.
• Organize and line produce breaking news and show updates.
• Contribute to the editorial line of the day.
• Work in collaboration with News Digital/Linear teams, Assignment Editors,
• Reporters, and production crews.
• Strong writing skills. Precise, objective and sharp.
• Write or revise scripts for accuracy and grammar.
• Research for interviews and stories.
• Able to request news graphics including editorial and creative process.
• Newsgathering savvy. Must have social media knowledge.
• Guide talent, producers and the technical team in the control room.
• Work with the entire digital team to develop and produce special content using
• the resources and storytelling of the entire newsroom.
• Works under the News Digital division and is responsible for completing any
• other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a newsroom in Spanish and at least 2 years of experience in crafting and building show rundowns in cable, broadcast or digital environment.
• Proficient in I-News, VIZ, Media Central and Flowics.
• Experience creating digital video content in a newsroom is helpful.
• Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines to write headlines and edit video for live digital broadcast.
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)
• Familiarity with editing systems such as AVID and Adobe Premiere required.
• Available for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of SEO is helpful.

Additional Requirements:

• This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
• Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
