We are currently seeking a full-time Risk Manager for a large skilled nursing facility in south Pinellas County. The ideal candidate will possess experience in long-term care with a specific focus in risk management. Experience should include incident and accident management, route, calls, and analysis.

As Risk Manager you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for performing your assigned duties which include, but are not limited to:

• Serving as support and initial contact for all Risk Management/Quality Assurance issues
• Meets at least monthly with the QAPI Committee
• Participating in select meetings relating to assessment and provision of patient/resident care including Standards of Care
• Developing and implementing an educational program on Risk Management and Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement for all non-physician personnel that occurs during new employee orientation and at least annually for all employees.
• Participating in all third-party surveys including state/AHCA surveys, Ombudsman investigations, Adult Protective Service investigations, and attends all exit conferences.
• Conducting necessary internal investigations.
• Reviewing all patient/resident Complaints and Grievances and assists with investigations and follow up.

The regular work schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, however the successful candidate must be willing to be on call to perform as needed visits to the facility. We offer a team environment, competitive pay, excellent benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
