Life Underwriting Manager manages the daily operations of life underwriting department for a variety of products to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives of the business. Underwrites and oversees the issuance of renewal on key accounts. Being a Life Underwriting Manager proposes enhancements for life underwriting policies and procedures. Must be familiar with current legislative and compliance processes affecting Life Insurance. Additionally, Life Underwriting Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Life Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
