Summary:
The Foster Family Licensing Specialist is responsible for coordinating all initial licensing and re-licensing activities for foster families in the CRIS Program. This includes supporting families in the completion of their application material, ensuring that all licensing documentation is collected in a timely manner and maintained appropriately in the foster family record, completing background checks for prospective and existing foster families, and the timely submission of application material to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF). The licensing specialist will act as the liaison and primary contact with DCF regarding all licensing matters related to the foster parents in the CRIS Program.

Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a human service field
· Bilingual
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Experience working in the child welfare system, particularly in the recruitment, training, or licensing of foster parents.
· Experience working with immigrant or refugee population.
