Job Classification: Licensing Specialist ("Family Development Specialist")

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Licensing Specialist is responsible for the supervision of the activities relating to foster care and for assisting in formulating and carrying out the policies and programs of the foster care agency.
• The primary role of this individual is to assist in recruiting, licensing, and documenting new homes for the agency.
• Policy and Procedure Enforcement
• Investigations of Non-Compliance with Policy/Procedures/Contracts
• The Licensing Specialist is responsible for processing the parent applications, tracking documentation, and maintaining records of all current and past foster parents.
  
  • Ensuring that the work and foster home environment is safe, secure, and healthy.
  • Meeting deadlines.
    
  • Ensure great customer service at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The Licensing Specialist must have a bachelor’s degree or more advanced degree from an accredited college or university     
• Extensive Professional Writing Skills Required
• Effective use of Communication Systems (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe)
• Eye for detail and accuracy.        
• Ability to work as part of a team.        
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.     
• Proactive organizational skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Reliable, with high integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm. Some weekends and evenings.
  
• On-Call, Minimum 2 days per month
