Overview

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is currently seeking an intern to support the Claims department. As an intern you will be learning key fundamental business skills. You will be working in an incredibly fast moving business, and have the opportunity to make valuable contributions. 

Responsibilities

Acts as a liaison between claims adjusters and trainer.

Helps facilitate the licensing process:

• Licensing Applications: Distributes necessary paperwork and forms to applicants and ensures that the state appropriate applications are completed in full and/or in a timely manner as per filing deadlines.
• Renewing Applications: Ensures that existing licenses are renewed and meet current government and company compliance.
• Study Materials: Distributes necessary study materials to adjusters.
• Payment: Ensures that all license fees are paid and processed in a timely manner.
• Scheduling: Schedules and confirms testing dates.
• Reviews/copyedits Licensing procedures and requirements:
• Ensures that Licensing procedures are up to date and/or meet government regulations and legal requirements per the licensing state.
• Assists the Claims Manager and Training Coordinator with other job responsibilities as assigned.

We would like the intern to be able to work part time through the fall and spring semesters.
