Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) - Intensive Outpatient Program
Looking to start a behavioral health practice and seeking a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) to develop and oversee an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for clients recovering from substance abuse.
If you have the appropiate license and credentialing there is a potential for a profit share oppurtunity.
In this key role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a comprehensive IOP that utilizes evidence-based group, individual, and family therapy techniques. Your expertise in substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders will be essential to supporting clients on their path to long-term recovery.
## Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and create individualized treatment plans for IOP clients
- Facilitate daily group therapy sessions using best practices in group counseling
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with the supervising psychiatrist to coordinate medication management
- Obtain insurance authorizations, perform utilization reviews, and maintain quality clinical documentation
- Provide patient education, advocacy, and coordination of follow-up healthcare services
- Communicate regularly with referring providers and psychotherapists on client progress
## Qualifications:
- Licensed as an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) in Arizona
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field with 24 hours of counseling coursework
- Demonstrated expertise in group, individual, and family therapy for substance abuse
- Strong clinical documentation and insurance/billing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
