Licensing Clerk assists in maintaining records, compiling information, and submitting forms necessary for agent licensing. Performs routine clerical duties, such as filing forms and other records from licensed agents and applicants according to an established system. Being a Licensing Clerk updates database, inputs data as required. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Licensing Clerk typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Licensing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Salary:

    $45,760.00 (non-exempt)

    About the Position:

    Monitor and supervise foster homes to ensure practice of family-systems, inclusive, trauma-responsive, and strengths-based foster parenting, while ensuring foster homes meet and maintain compliance with DCFS licensing standards.

    A Typical Day as a Child Welfare Licensing Worker:

    • Complete home studies and provide foster parents with individual and group trainings
    • Complete license investigations
    • Arrange respite for foster parents as needed.
    • Assist caseworkers and other staff in placement and placement stability of children into foster homes.
    • Monitor foster care homes to ensure compliance with all agency, state, and federal licensing standards and other applicable laws and regulations

    Work Hours: Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served

    Does the Following Apply to You?

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Services related field
    • Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
    • Child Welfare Licensure (preferred)

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Obtain an insured vehicle
    • At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
    • Successful completion of DCFS Foundations Training to obtain Child Welfare Licensure
