Performs routine clerical duties, such as filing forms and other records from licensed agents and applicants according to an established system. Being a Licensing Clerk updates database, inputs data as required. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Licensing Clerk typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Licensing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What You'll Do
The Licensing Caseworker is responsible for completing the licensing and approval processes for prospective foster families and prospective adoption families. The Licensing Caseworker is responsible for training and orientation of families, writing and submitting the home study packet and counseling families who can not meet the needs of children coming into care. Position will additionally work with birth families, DHS and other providers. The Licensing Caseworker will work with families to complete assigned new home studies within project timelines. Must have a strong understanding of licensing rules and adoption rules through the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and Iowa Code.
What You'll Need
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, behavioral sciences or a related field and a minimum of 1 year experience in child welfare services. Desired candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
