Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of Licensed Practical Nurse.The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for coordinating care of the patients, assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The LPN is responsible for assessing, and evaluating the nursing care needs of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and policies.Requirements:
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Utah. *If licensed in a compact state a Utah State license must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS) card required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills as well as demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.
