Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home jobs in Ohio
Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home administers nursing care in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home requires a high school diploma. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. NOW HIRING: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Responsibilities (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
- Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and the DON or Nurse Supervisor, to ensure that the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.
Qualifications (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- LPN state license in Ohio
- Previous LTC/SNF experience preferred
- Interest in the geriatric population
