Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home administers nursing care in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home requires a high school diploma. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. We are hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for the following shifts:
- 2pm-10pm - Monday - Friday
- 10pm-6pm - Monday - Friday
- 6a-6p - Saturday - Sunday (Part-time)
- 6p-6a - Saturday - Sunday (Part-time)
Walk in interviews for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Requirements:
- Current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Have dependable transportation, drivers license, and car insurance
Job Duties:
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Administer and document medication to residents in an accurate and timely manner
- Observe residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and adverse effects
- Document resident process notes as required
- Promptly report changes in residents' condition to charge nurse
- Attend staff meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, rehab meetings, in-service classes and committee meetings as assigned
