Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home jobs in Bentonville, AR
Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home administers nursing care in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home requires a high school diploma. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. $2,000 Sign-On Bonus available!
Responsibilities and Purpose- Provide bedside care.
- Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
- Take vital signs and record to patient’s chart.
- Assist with resident comfort.
- Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
- Collect samples and monitor catheters.
- Provide wound care.
- Help coach staff as necessary.
Desired Experience and Education
- Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nursing License.
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certification.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.
Requirements
- Ability to pass criminal background check .
- Ability to pass Post Offer/Pre-Employment Screen (POPES), which measures physical abilities.
