We're seeking a night-shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to children and adolescents served in our Crisis Psychiatric Care (subacute) facility, routine healthcare including pain management, vital signs and lab sample collection. You will also assist in completing the admission process by gathering medical information, obtaining and processing medication and admission orders from the psychiatrist and assisting children with all other entry needs. Our LPNs provide basic triage and emergency care including assessment and documentation of injuries. Also, you'll manage children's medications, complete phlebotomy services, and assess each child for injuries by completing and documenting a nursing assessment for each child involved in an Emergency Safety Intervention.
Our Children's Psychiatric Crisis (Subacute) program offers short-time, safe, and secure residential placement for children and teens who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services focus on mental health stabilization, psychiatric evaluation, and transitional planning with an average length of stay around three weeks. Common diagnoses include major depression, suicide ideation, and anxiety. You'll support a diverse population, including transgender and nonbinary youth as part of an impactful, multidisciplinary team.
