Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health administers nursing care to patients with varying levels of mental health disorders and developmental disabilities under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Monitors treatment and administers medication to patients as needed. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health typically requires a high school diploma. Requires a state license to practice. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Perform a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse each day.Provide direct care to patients; carry out their plans of care and observe their behavior, vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.

One or more years of experience within an inpatient medical-surgical or general hospital setting preferred.
Rehabilitation experience preferred.
