Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care jobs in Wisconsin
Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care administers nursing care in a long-term care environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. LPN(Licensed Practical Nurse)
Duties Include:
Medication administration and treatments.
Assist with admission, transfer and discharging of residents
Document resident care services by charting in resident medical record and department records.
Educate residents regarding treatment, rehabilitation, change of status, etc... as well as family members.
Adhering to infection control policies and procedures as well as all other facility policies and procedures.
Consult with resident's physician regarding resident's plan of care as well as notifying them of any changes.
Maintain resident's confidentiality and privacy.
Assure quality of care by adhering to DOH standards of practice and facility standards of care.
Assist with solving resident's problems by working with the interdisciplinary team.
LPN(Licensed Practical Nurse)
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved
LPNprogram
Experience in long term care preferred
Excellent communicator, positive attitude, and team player
Must be Canadian citizen
Salary:
$35 an hour
