Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home assists Physical Therapist in evaluating and providing treatment for nursing home patients to ease their pain and help increase their mobility. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment. Requires an associate degree or graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home typically reports to a physical therapist. Requires a state physical therapist assistant license. Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Compensation ranging from:

    $91,000 to $145,600 annually for full time (25-35 visits per week)

    $37,000-$83,000 for Part Time (10-20 visits per week)

    PT Pediatric Job Qualifications:

    • Develops skilled and high-quality care plans that meet the needs of the patient and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results; creating and implementing Physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with the physician.
    • Assists pediatric and young adult patients to develop or regain physical, neurological, cognitive and/or social/emotional functioning and improves their level of independence..
    • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent attention to detail and above-average organizational skills.
    • Excellent documentation skills with good understanding of basic home health agency regulations and requirements.
    • Solid grasp on electronic medical record documenting.
