Library Services Manager jobs in Spokane, WA

The Community Library Network at Rathdrum has a 40-hour per week Library Manager position open. This position will receive PERSI, health and dental insurance, paid holidays, and vacation and sick leave benefits. Work hours will include weekend and evening hours on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily operation of the Rathdrum Library
• Complying with and implementing library policies and guidelines
• Hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising staff
• Exercising professional judgement
• Interpreting library policy and procedure for staff and customers
• Serving as first contact for building issues
• Serving as a community liaison and works in partnership with community organizations to support library initiatives
• Participating in community activities

The successful applicant:

• Has a Bachelor’s degree
• Has 1 year of supervisory experience
• Has 1 year of public customer service preferably in a library setting
• Enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and lead
