The Library Associate
at South County Regional Library works within a team of children’s services
staff to create a welcoming and engaging environment for children ages 0-11,
their caregivers and families. The Library Associate leads age-appropriate
programs for children, including early literacy story times, school age
programs, as well as creating book displays and readers advisory. This position
represents the Library in the community and facilitates outreach to area
preschools, schools and area partners. The Library Associate participates
in systemwide teams and works collaboratively with staff in Children’s
Services. Located in southern Mecklenburg County,
