Library Services Director supervises, maintains, and enhances policies and procedures for a library. Oversees professional and support staff involved in cataloging, indexing, issuing books/materials, and keeping records of items on loan. Being a Library Services Director selects books and publications for purchase and subscribes to pertinent periodicals as allowed for by the given budget. Requires master's of library and information science from an ALA-accredited school. Additionally, Library Services Director typically reports to top management. The Library Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Conception Abbey and Seminary Library seeks an Associate Library Director to join its library team and transition into leadership as we grow into the future. The successful candidate will spearhead research and access services to patrons by means of outreach in individual and group settings. In addition, this library professional will be conversant with electronic resources as we migrate with our Mobius consortium to integrate library services in FOLIO. This position is a 12-month, faculty-status, non-tenure appointment and reports to the Library Director.
