Library Services Coordinator oversees library service offerings designed to meet the needs of a specific user population. Ensures resource availability and implements new programs to meet service gaps. Being a Library Services Coordinator assists groups and individuals in locating, delivery, and obtaining materials. Establish and maintains cooperative agreements between the college and area libraries. Additionally, Library Services Coordinator graduates from an ALA-accredited school. Requires a master's degree. Directed and supervised by the Program Manager, the Child & Youth Services Coordinator is responsible for assigned case management, training and supervision, administrative coordinating, and other direct service provision of clients participating in VARC’s Child & Youth Services.
Essential Functions
1. Supervises and evaluates all Child and Youth Services Assistants and Leads.
2. Provides guidance to newly hired Child and Youth Services Assistants with prepared training materials.
3. Coordinates staff and client schedules.
4. Administers schedule changes between clients, families and Child and Youth Services Assistants and Leads.
5. Coordinates and obtains client referral paperwork for review by supervisor.
6. Coordinates and participates in the new client Intake meetings.
7. Maintains all client files, client case notes, Individual Service Plans, and Behavior Support Plans for assigned clients.
8. Develops, implements, and monitors client daily programing activities.
9. Assists Child and Youth Services staff with implementation of client activities.
10. Provides support/supervision to clients, and monitors individual progress.
11. Organizes community-based activities for clients.
12. Coordinates clients’ medication distribution and assists as needed.
13. Provides services for 1:1 and groups as needed.
14. Assists with client’s personal cares and hygiene needs (which may include feeding, toileting, etc.), as needed.
15. Coordinates client transportation and assists with transportation as needed.
16. Consistently communicates client’s overall status and wellbeing to Supervisor and those working directly with client.
17. Maintains contact with guardians, care providers, County and other referral agencies.
18. Enters and maintains accurate client attendance, billing information, and required reports.
19. Maintains safe, clean, and organized areas throughout the Child and Youth Services building.
20. Attends continuing educational programs with recommendation of supervisor.
21. Accepts other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Child Psychology, or related education. Will consider experience in lieu of degree. Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with individual clients, parents/guardians, other service providers and staff.
Schedule for this position varies, based on services and coverage needs, including but not limited to evening hours.
