ROLE SUMMARY:
The CMS – Water Services Researcher will demonstrate project leadership skills to execute on business goals, programs, and processes for Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions CMS business focusing on product lines under the Water Services umbrella (Cooling, Boiler, Water and Wastewater applications) In this role, a successful candidate will conduct experiments to solve problems, develop and execute on objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct lab work to research, develop, commercialize, and support innovative chemical solutions for Veolia WTS chemical customers (a strategic initiative by the business to enhance treatment performance for customers and provide a sustainable advantage over competition)
As part of a development team, contribute to idea generation, conduct experiments, and review results
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound scientific principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Conduct product development and customer problem solving efforts, aligning time commitment to achieve goals and hit project milestones
Provide technical product support, customer service, and non-routine problem solving for industrial water applications. Collaborate with external and internal customers including Supply Chain, Product Compliance and Product Quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science including Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Integrated Science and |Technology
<3 years of industrial chemistry experience
DESIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or biochemistry
Water treatment experience, familiarity with wet analytical techniques (titrations and chemical analyses)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and handle diverse responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent conceptual problem solving skills with ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement major changes.
Strong environmental, health and safety ethics
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and able to effectively communicate ideas in both a research and customer environment.
