Library Researcher carries out research activities in a library. Processes requests for research information and compiles information on related topics. Being a Library Researcher requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Library Researcher relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Minimum requirements are:
- Completion of studies earning a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from a 4-year institution of higher education
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with the public
- Extensive knowledge of computers and computer programs
- Good managerial skills
- Adept at long-range planning and budgeting
Knowledge of Spanish and/or library experience is highly desirable.
- Starting salary – $34,500 to $40,020 based on education and experience.

- Retirement benefits with Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System.
- FT-35 hrs per week/one-week vacation after one year of employment, additional days added in succeeding years of employment.
