SUMMARY
Assists Conference Services with all facets of the set-up operation including audio visual within Wilson Lodge, the Cottages and outlying areas as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Daily responsibility for providing required services to conference groups including meeting directly with group contacts and speakers and the set-up of all function rooms including audio visual needs; subsequent tear down and cleaning.

Continually strives to provide an exceptional experience for all resort guests through their interaction with the Conference Service department.

Establish, maintain and implement standards that provide a safe, secure and clean working environment for staff as well as guests; keeps work areas front/back of house and equipment neat and clean.

Assists the Director of Sales and Conference Services in the establishment of yearly budget for the Conference Service set-up division.

Establishes control methods to ensure that budget objectives are met such as inventories, scheduling/staff levels/payroll and supply orders.

Conducts interviews and proceeds with the hiring process.

Trains staff, and is responsible for scheduling 6 to 8 employees based on guest demand.

Conducts staff meetings.

Responsible for creating and revising diagrams in meeting matrix, monitoring function room usage in Visual One and inputting and updating all staff schedules in ADP.

Serves as an advisor to the Sales and Conference Services staff regarding function room set-up.

Prepares function rooms for meetings, banquets, and other activities by setting up chairs, tables, audio visual and other support equipment and decorations

At the completion of the function cleans and removes all above equipment to designated storage areas and cleans functions rooms including ceilings, walls, floor carpet, furniture, fixtures, windows and draperies.

Routinely inspects and evaluates conditions of facilities, equipment and furnishings and submits to Director of Sales and Conference Services recommendations for painting, repair, replacement or relocation of the same.

Delivers conference material to appropriate individuals or areas.

Delivers Luggage to guest rooms and removes when requested.

Exerts a positive influence on all resort personnel through leadership skills, an upbeat personality and by always attempting to enhance the guests visit.

Works flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays and all hours of the day; works with crew and supervisors in a safe manner.

Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees and departments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
