Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
- Program machine controls to ensure accurate bending and forming of sheet metal
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in programming press brake controls
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
- Familiarity with other metalworking equipment such as plasma cutting, milling machines, and stamping presses is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Environment: Typical welding and metal stamping environment. Safety equipment, safety glasses and ear protection required.
