Being a Letter of Credit Officer ensures all credit data is evaluated and adheres to bank policies and procedures in order to approve or deny applications. Provides support to lending officers and trade specialists. Additionally, Letter of Credit Officer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Letter of Credit Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. DFS originates two main loan products – a short term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $60MM per month. DFS is looking for a Chief Credit Officer to help manage our growing business.

Responsibilities:
• Act as loan committee to provide approvals / modifications on new originations, extensions and workouts for loans held on balance sheet
• Business development for DFS’s Lender Finance business
• Design & maintain DFS’s risk management and compliance policies & procedures
• Manage classified assets throughout the loss mitigation process
• Monitor covenants in capital market loan documents & MLPAs to maintain compliance
Requirements
• Strong familiarity with the business purpose lending space
• Direct construction management & real estate valuation experience
• 10yrs of residential real estate investment experience
• 10yrs of experience managing teams
• 5yrs of legal experience on an institutional capital markets context
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-4 unit residential development experience a plus
• Experience working with Salesforce a plus
