- Evaluate loan applications and determine the eligibility of applicants
- Collect and analyze financial information to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers
- Guide borrowers through the loan application process and provide them with relevant information and assistance
- Review loan agreements to ensure they comply with applicable regulations and policies
- Collaborate with underwriters, appraisers, and other professionals to facilitate the loan approval process
- Maintain knowledge of current lending practices, regulations, and guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience in loan processing or mortgage servicing is preferred
- Familiarity with financial services and basic math skills
- Knowledge of banking procedures and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Understanding of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and other relevant contract laws
