Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Legal Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Legal Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • SUMMARY:  

    Claims Reviewers are responsible for first review and data capture for all types of submitted documentation related to current case management and settlement administration projects. Claims Reviewers verify information, identify discrepancies and/or lack of information in claimant documentation, and provide administrative support to the Operations department. The team relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision in a collaborative team environment.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Data entry, annotation and review of documentation submitted for various Verus administered projects.
    2. Recognize discrepancies or lack of information within claim documentation and take appropriate action.
    3. Communicates with law firms via application notes.
    4. Contact claimants via phone to obtain/verify information.
    5. Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
    6. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, filing, and contacting claimants as needed via phone and email.
    7. Other projects and duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or its equivalent.
    • Attention to detail with basic analytical skills.
    • Adaptability to changing policies, procedures and applications.
    • Effective communication.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
    • Ability to clearly communicate via phone.
    • Willing to work normal business hours.
    • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Working conditions are normal for an office environment. This is a hybrid role, consisting of an in-office and work from home schedule.
