Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for a Recruiter in the Office of Admissions/Enrollment Management, to be based on our main campus in Columbus, GA. This position is responsible for recruiting students to Columbus State University from an assigned territory in the Georgia region.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting prospective students and constituents on the various options regarding admissions, including available programs and articulating the requirements for each program; anticipating and resolving problems; assembling and analyzing reports for use in designing and implementing recruitment strategies; and visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and coordinating a variety of other recruitment activities such as Alumni Programs and Campus Visitation Days. Work is performed with considerable independence. Weekend and evening work will be required throughout the academic year to support University recruitment activities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education. The successful candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills; be able to make presentations to large and small audiences; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work effectively with colleagues, prospective students, parents, high school counselors, alumni, and faculty members; ability to work irregular hours, nights, and weekends; and perform other duties as assigned. Candidate must provide their own vehicle, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Proposed Salary
The annualized salary for this position is $40,568 and includes full benefits.
