Warehouse/Driver Associate

Job description

The TEC/NEC Warehouse/Driver Associate performs daily warehouse functions as directed by manager. The associate will be a backup driver on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload product manually, or using forklifts, pallet jacks and/or clamp trucks
• Count and verify physical product received and compare to packing lists
• Inspect freight for possible damage and notate damage on delivery forms
• Pick and stage dock orders and use scan guns for picking process
• Properly complete pick tickets for Bill of Lading generation
• Delivers HVAC parts and equipment to customers, vendors, and other locations as requested.
• Manage delivery time and schedule effectively and efficiently.
• Backup driver on an as needed basis
• All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must obtain a Class C licensewith good driving record
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Exceptional customer service
• Able to multitask various assignments
• Able to work independently
• Positive attitude / Friendly disposition
• Computer and keyboard knowledge
• Basic reading, math, and filing skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Able to climb up and down a 6-10 steep slope ladder carrying up to 15 pounds.

Preferred Qualification

• Previous warehouse experience desired
• Forklift experience preferred
• Previous driving experience

Physical Demands

• Able to lift 50 pounds, load/unload trucks
• Able to climb up and down a ladder as high as 15ft carrying up to 50lbs

Schedule

• Full Time Monday through Friday
• Shift based on business needs.

Salary Expectations

• Starting minimum rate of $16.00 hourly
• Sign On Bonus!
