Leasing Consultant Position:
The Leasing Consultant acts as an initial ambassador between the public, the residents of the apartment community, and the community management team. This individual is responsible for providing exceptional service to community residents, prospective residents, and internal team members. The Leasing Consultant must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of clients they are assisting and providing a solution that not only coincides with the goals of the community but is beneficial for all concerned parties. 1 year of leasing/industry experience is preferred. Student Housing experience is a plus.
Leasing Consultant Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring the “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show. Responsible for maintaining work areas and office in a clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the “curb appeal” of the property. Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques. Knowledgeable of current market conditions. Check and respond to all property voicemails and emails throughout the day. Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and all amenities of the property. Responsible for “shopping” competitive properties. Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes, and policies regarding rentals. Responsible for carrying out property marketing efforts (Social Media, Outreach Marketing, Resident Events). Develop and/or maintain an on-going resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager. Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files. Efficient and timely processing of leasing applications. Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints. Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Assist in the collection of delinquent rents. Participate in planned resident activities. Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor.
