Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. implements Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and develops plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Molding operator is responsible for performing visual inspections, labeling, and packaging parts. This Associate must follow all procedures/work instructions, and follow quality/safety protocol.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Perform visual and functional inspections of molded parts/assemblies to quality specifications.
· Perform hand assemblies on molded parts based on customer specifications ranging from a simple 2 step assembly to more complex multistep assemblies that require a high level of hand and finger dexterity.
· Routinely communicate and share knowledge with team members to produce high quality parts in a timely manner.
· Read Quality Plan to determine product specifications.
· Assist with maintaining appropriate levels of material in the hoppers
· Assist in line clearance activities
· Operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks. Use forklift only if certification / training is completed.
· Responsible for completing production, QC and scrap reports
· Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
· Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
· Assist in training new Molding operators.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Work Environment:
The work environment is generally noisy and the employee regularly works around dust, oil, electrical devices and mechanically moving parts. Safety glasses are required while on the plant floor. While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.The warehouse is not temperature controlled. Must be comfortable working in a high-speed production environment.

This position is Non-exempt. Full-time; forty (40) hours of work are required per week.
Must be available to work holidays and weekends when requested from Supervisor.
1st, 2nd or 3rdshift may be required. May involve 8 or 12 hour shifts.
