Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. jobs in Fremont, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:  In this hands-on position, the Lean Manufacturing and Zero-defect Specialist is responsible for monitoring, Managing, and Collaborating with cross-functional teams across all Business units to eliminate all wastes in operation and achieve Zero Defects in the Manufacturing process. To succeed, the candidate must have some level of Manufacturing and engineering background, be detailed oriented, and be able to perform Project Management in a fast-paced NPI environment.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

• Coordinate and keep track of All defects during and after manufacturing 
• Assigned evaluation tasks to the business units.
• Evaluate if the functions identify the correct Root cause.
• Evaluate and participate in defining the actions/projects to eliminate defects.
• Collaborate with team to identify and implement process improvements
• Track and review project and task status defined as correction related to the defect
• Meet regularly and Lead cadence meetings and brainstorming sessions
• Responsible for reporting the Zero defect and Lean project status and KPIs to the operation and management team and creating new reports as needed.
• Professionally represent the company to outside customers and business partners as needed.  
• Work extended hours based on company needs and be available for after-hour emergency calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities suggested.  

• BS in Engineering, Electrical or Business Management or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Engineer (Quality, Process, … ) of semiconductor industry (Design, Fab , Assembly).
• Understanding of Project Management, Knowledge management, Process development, Change Management
• Solid business decision-making abilities and excellent judgment.
• Ability to solve practical problems using pre-established guidelines to deal with situations with limited standardization.
• Strong ability in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT etc.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills 
• Strong people management skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Highly organized and able to work with minimum supervision while maintaining effective time management.  
• Must be flexible to work extended hours based on company needs and be available for after-hour emergency calls.
• Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.

California Salary Range: $25-$30/ Per Hour and Benefit Perks
