    BASIC FUNCTION:

    Parker's Lean Leadership Development Program (LLDP) offers you the opportunity to develop strong technical knowledge and professional experience preparing you to play a crucial role in Parker's success by ensuring the optimization of all resources used in production areas and administrative services.

Join us in this program as multiple others before you who are now evolving in roles such as: Plant, Division or Group Lean Managers, Plant or Operations Managers and more.

    • Program duration: 2 years
    • Program Structure: 4 rotational assignments
    • Rotations' length: 6 months each.
    • Travel requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. You will also be required to travel to Parker's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for program review, personal development and interaction with fellow program participants and mentors.
    • Relocation requirements: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
    • This is not a remote position

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Lean Leadership Development Associate is responsible for learning and developing lean concepts and applying them to operations to achieve the maximum utilization and efficiency of personnel, material, machines and facilities. Entry level engineering. Interacts with more experienced engineers to manage and follow through on independent projects. This position will also assist other managers and engineers when applicable.

    • Assist lean activities utilizing engineering background.
    • Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.
    • Assist in planning new and/or relocation of facilities and operations.
    • Assist in the design and improvement of manufacturing/production methods and control systems using new, existing, or modified machinery and equipment. Design tools and equipment as necessary.
    • Assist with Kaizen events by establishing course of action to accomplish task and/or project.
    • Regular contact with others outside the work group.
    • Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, safety measures, and labor organization.
    • Design of facilities and layout of building; layout of machines and equipment.
    • Develop methods for controlling production costs and costs analysis.
    • Utilize knowledge and background to address Ergonomics/safety issues.
    • Know basic manufacturing operations and practices.
    • Maximize facility efficiency through establishment of Kanban and inventory systems.

    To join this program, you need to meet or exceed the following criteria:

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Graduation before June 2024
    • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Working knowledge of lean concepts and demonstrated application.
    • Relevant experience gained through internship or co-op opportunities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication; project management experience preferred.
    • Must be willing and able to relocate.
