Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Develop and evaluate new processes and improve current process capability, efficiency, and overall productivity in all areas of manufacturing in support of the rporate WIN Strategy. Primary resource for supporting the facility in its Lean transformation through the implementation of the Parker Lean System (PLS). Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the site's Win Scorecard and site's PLS Lean Journey Assessment. Trains and develops associates in PLS methodology and tools to eliminate waste in manufacturing.
