We are seeking a qualified Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in shipping and logistics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and oversee the shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate shipments of products to customers.
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and DHL, to optimize shipping operations and costs.
- Ensure proper packaging of products for safe and secure transit, adhering to industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and customs documentation as required.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain accurate records of stock levels and assist in the periodic physical inventory counts.
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software is a plus. Experience in utilizing such software to streamline shipping processes and maintain accurate inventory records is advantageous.
- Communicate with various departments, including manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to ensure a smooth flow of information related to shipping activities.
- Address and resolve shipping-related issues, such as delays, damages, and discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in handling shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
- Knowledge of MRP software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
