Lean Manufacturing Specialist assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The EHS&S Specialist 2 is responsible for implementing EHS&S programs at a local (site) level. This position will partner with local management, salaried, and hourly employees to ensure local EHS&S compliance and implementation of the company EHS Management System.
Duties:
Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree Occupational Safgety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs or related field, or equvalent experience in lieu of a degree
2. 5 years’ experience in Environmental Health & Safety within a construction, manufacturing, or industrial setting
Skills/Competencies:
1. Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS-related regulations/compliance requirements
2. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends in area of regulatory compliance
3. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management software
4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Ability to work independently, self-starter, and motivator
6. High energy
