Lean Manufacturing Specialist assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The basics of this position:

    Develop, design, and deliver customized, non-credit training curriculum for business and industry partners. Facilitate classroom training in person and virtually. Specific topics include but are not limited to:
    * Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing

    What you'll do:

    • Prepare materials for delivery from an approved program. May customize materials to meet the identified performance needs of the client.
      * Deliver instruction in a classroom setting for both and in person and virtual formats.
      * May consult with clients to identify strategic opportunities, assess business and performance needs, and design and implement solutions required to enhance the performance of people and organizations.
      * Additional deliverables include, but are not limited to class rosters, worksheets, handouts, course evaluations, and certificates.
      * Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education, experience, and other requirements:

    Master's Degree or equivalent 5 years' experience or Bachelor's degree or equivalent 7 years
    experience, or Associates Degree or equivalent 9 years' experience or 11 years' experience, Industry
    recognized credential may be required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Industry and/or training certification(s) desired, e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
