2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor - Davenport, IA
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor at our facility in Davenport, IA. This is a full-time position with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience working with unions, maintenance, and safety, along with a background in engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate skilled trades personnel in their daily activities.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and safe execution of maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within machining centers (20% of the role).
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
- Plan and prioritize work assignments to meet production and maintenance goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve maintenance issues and improve processes.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment and identify potential maintenance needs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, preferably within machining centers.
- Familiarity with union environments and understanding of labor relations.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a Deere gator regularly.
- Metatarsals required for safety compliance.
Work Schedule: This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required as needed.
Location: We strongly prefer local candidates who are based in or near Davenport, IA.

Salary info:
