Quality Manager - Barge Component Manufacturing

Location: Bossier City, LA

Compensation: $81,000-$115,000

Position Summary:

As a Quality Manager based in Bossier City, LA you will spearhead the implementation of a quality-centric culture across the organization, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and fostering a commitment to delivering top-notch products. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the quality control systems within our manufacturing plants, including certifications, process standards, and corrective action procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization in cultivating a proactive approach to quality improvement across design, manufacturing, supplier relations, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Operations to address quality issues while balancing manufacturing efficiency, meeting business deadlines, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Align internal processes and metrics to uphold the highest standards of product quality and customer service.
• Strengthen quality systems and ensure the implementation and adherence to corporate and plant processes.
• Drive continuous improvements across all operational areas, emphasizing key performance indicators and critical plant processes.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers, serving as a liaison to address any quality-related concerns or requirements.
• Provide support to plants in root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving, and lessons learned, driving consistent enhancements.
• Assist in deploying corporate quality policies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with the company's Quality and Regulatory strategies.
• Support the implementation of customer requirements and specifications, acting as the escalation point for customer issues.
• Facilitate communication between operations and customers to ensure the delivery of the highest-quality products.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of ABS & CFR processes.
• 5 years of industrial experience in Quality Engineering/Quality Management within manufacturing, with hands-on plant-level experience.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisory role leading teams.
• Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with customers and plant teams.
• Ability to facilitate collaboration and communication across all operational teams.
• Strong presentation skills, including the development and delivery of presentations (PowerPoint).
