Lean Manufacturing Manager leads and designs Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Manages all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement. Being a Lean Manufacturing Manager employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Manager also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Lean Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Lean Manufacturing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure that all projects are completed ahead of time and under budget.
    • Develop, communicate, and implement strategies tailored to each work cell to increase manufacturing capacity.
    • Provide leadership and direction to department leads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure that the company is complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to equipment fabrication / manufacturing industry including city and state environmental regulations.
    • Manage the overall operations to embrace and be accountable to all applicable safety regulations and best practices to maintain an elite safety record
    • Work with the Admin Support Team to develop and implement employee training programs to ensure that staff members have the skills and knowledge they must have to be successful
    • Manage overall staffing at the facility
    • Equipment utilization, labor efficiency goals, training & cross training of team members, automation utilization.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant management experience.
    • Food Industry Experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Pre-employment drug screen and background check
