Manager, LEAN Manufacturing and Supply Chain
We are seeking an experienced, full-time Manager of LEAN Manufacturing and Supply Chain to join our Team.
The LEAN Manufacturing and Supply Chain Manager has direct responsibility for leading continuous improvements within the Manufacturing Assembly, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing Engineering disciplines.
The Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain Manager also has indirect responsibility for leading continuous improvements within other disciplines of the business through LEAN process education, guidance and leadership provided to other business Managers.
The focus of the role being on a final product build manufacturing business involving planning and delivering electronic test instrument products into the global Electricity Generation & Transmission Industry.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
This role will have Ownership and Responsibility for the following Disciplines:
* Manufacturing Assembly: (defining needs, staffing, training, directing, coaching, evaluating, compensating, disciplining).
* Production Planning & Supply Chain Management: (defining needs, staffing, training, directing, coaching, evaluating, compensating, disciplining).
* Manufacturing Engineering: (defining needs, staffing, training, directing, coaching, evaluating, compensating, disciplining).
You will also oversee the following areas:
* All in-house and out-of-house manufacturing operations, driving on-time delivery and quality, defining and demanding corrective actions as necessary.
* Participate in monthly S&OP process driving material MRP and Build Plan… supporting current and future months.
* Participate in business inventory management objectives: sustain revenue attainment while holding inventory levels as low as possible.
* Analyze monthly performance in assembly to plan, supply chain delivery, product yields, direct labor absorption, quality, material shortages, material cycle counts, within the organization’s Excellence System framework.
* Provide oversight to material shortage resolution and future preventive corrective actions.
* Participate in Weekly Change Control Review Meeting gaining insight and knowledge and driving appropriate phase in action plans (ECN review/approval).
* Provide assembly cost estimates in support of business in-house/out-house sourcing decision making.
* Lead weekly Class 3/Class 4 status review and planning meeting, facilitating cross-functional understanding and appropriate issue resolution action plans.
* Organize and lead GEMBA meetings as needed within the product manufacturing delivery process.
* Organize and lead Supplier Management meetings (existing partner and new partner audits) as needed to drive overall performance requirements and objectives.
* Ensure all manufacturing operations adherence to appropriate T&M instrument equipment calibration, inspection, and testing methods.
* Monitor, report and drive continuous improvements throughout the business as LEAN Champion.
* Participate in the annual business budgeting & review cycles (partnering with the General Manager and Controller).
* Capital Equipment Spend, Overhead %, Labor %, Material %, Margin% attainment
* Monitor monthly Cost Center financial performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
