2. Position Summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing plans to achieve all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPI’s as defined for all production departments. Other assignments and responsibilities are assigned as required.
1. Provide leadership and teamwork on the operations team to execute production to meet customer satisfaction, company growth and quality product.
2. Ensure that the proper manufacturing organizational structure exists to effectively execute to meet manufacturing objectives and KPI’s.
3. Take the lead role in the selection, training and development of the manufacturing team required to meet the stated objectives and drive continuous improvement through operations.
4. Direct the development and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and frequently communicate progress in attainment of these KPI’s.
5. Provide the job criteria and performance measurements for all leaders within the manufacturing team.
6. Stay abreast of all health and safety and environmental issues that impact the company’s manufacturing operations and take appropriate actions to insure compliance.
7. Provide leadership in the planning and development of agendas for team growth and employee engagement.
8. Effectively interact with other departments cross functionally to ensure on time delivery of quality parts, and successful launch of new products.
9. Ensure that all manufacturing departments are effectively maintained so as to provide a safe working environment and to maintain the value of the company’s investment.

Strong leadership skills.
Structured and organized.
Solid computer skills. Working knowledge of electronic spreadsheet applications and word processing programs.
Ability to analyze the manufacturing process to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and overall cost objectives are met.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes.
