Lean Manufacturing Manager leads and designs Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Manages all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement. Being a Lean Manufacturing Manager employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Manager also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Lean Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and lead a team of production operators to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met
· Oversee the production process and ensure that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards
· Monitor production performance and make necessary adjustments to meet production targets
· Ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
· Train and develop production operators to maximize their potential and improve performance
· Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance and engineering, to improve overall production efficiency
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
· 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role, with specific experience in extrusion operations
· Knowledge of extrusion equipment, processes, and procedures
· Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
